It consists of two twisted wires covered by a heat-sensitive polymer that, when the designated temperature is reached, breaks apart allowing the two wires to touch and give off an alarm signal.
It can be connected to any type of conventional or analog control panel, using a conventional module.
The CDL thermal cable can be connected to the DL distance locator to identify the exact point of alarm throughout the total length of the cable, up to 3,000 meters.
There are 6 different types of CDL thermal cable available depending on the alarm temperature selected: 68°C, 78°C, 88°C, 105°C, 185ºC & 218ºC.
The first four types can have different external covers depending on the application:
- Standard (PVC): For any type of installation. Protected against UV rays, meaning it can be installed outdoors.
- Polypropylene: especially designed for installations where corrosive chemical substances are present.
- Nylon: covered in Nylon, has especially been designed for installations where there is a risk of mechanical damage.
185°C cable is only available with Nylon outer coating.
218°C cable is only available with Silicone Rubber outer coating.
In addition, we have guide wire and the possibility of adding the guide wire to the cable at production.
There is also the option of covering with stainless steel in PVC, Nylon and Polypropylene cables.
