Detection of CO and NO2.

COMILOG belongs to the French mining and metallurgical group ERAMET, with a vision of growth and innovation along with improving performance. It provides for more than 2,000 direct and indirect jobs.

The manganese mining project of Comilog Gabón consists of the development of manganese deposits near Moanda, Gabón, in the Bangombe plateau, with an extension of approximately 42 Km2, and of transportation of the mineral to Pointe Noire, Republic of the Congo, for delivery to the international market. There are exports of two million tons of manganese a year, making Gabón one of the three largest exporters in the world.

Of note are their transportation services, built and operated by the company, such as a 73 km cable car on the M’binda mine, with a transfer station in M’binda to load the minerals from the cable car to railroad cars, a 290 km. long railroad from M’binda to a crossing point in km. 202 of Pointe Noire in the route Chemin de Fer Congo-ocean and the storage and loading installations in the port of Pointe Noire.

For the protection of the agglomeration process in this industry, the DURPARK gas detection system for CO and NO2 has been selected, being designed and manufactured by Durán Electrónica.
