Zamora will be 10 minutes closer to Madrid and 55 minutes to Galicia.

For the gas detection systems of this tunnel, carbon dioxide gas detection is carried out by DIREX detectors, and DURTOX detectors have been selected for the detection of CO, NO2 and O2; all manufactured by DURÁN ELECTRÓNICA. Air quality control is carried out with opacimeters distributed by DURÁN ELECTRÓNICA.
