Opacimeters and Luminance meter.

The Chimalpa tunnel is part of the highway that connects Naucalpan with Toluca in Mexico. The Chimalpa I and Chimalpa II tunnels, 530 and 225 meters long respectively, are 4-lane highway tunnels. With excavation dimensions of 20.49 meters wide and 11.32 meters high, they have become the largest section tunnels excavated in Latin America.

It is a highly complex project due to the poor geotechnical quality of the terrain. For this reason, more elaborate techniques were used than those conventionally used in this type of tunnel. This made the work in the tunnel more efficient and safer.

This tunnel is equipped with opacimeters and luminance meters, distributed by Durán Electrónica.
