Detection of SO2 toxic gases.
The construction work for the Iznájar dam, located over the Iznájar reservoir, on the course of the Genil river (Córdoba), was finished in 1969.
It was built to attain various objectives: defense against rises of the Genil, ensuring water supply to population centers with an estimated total of 200,000 inhabitants as well as irrigation of 80,000 Has, providing electricity, the promotion of fishing and water sports, and fire fighting.
It has a height over the river bed of 101m, a crest length if 406,89m and a reservoir volume of 1,396,400 m3. Its crest elevation is 426m; the riverbed elevation is 325m and the foundation elevation is 304,40m above sea level.
For the detection of sulfur dioxide the DURGAS MINI control panels and EURODETECTOR detectors, manufactured by DURÁN ELECTRÓNICA, have been selected.
