DURGAS CO Detection
The Piraeus Port Authority SA (PPA SA) is the main port of Athens, 12 km from the centre. It is divided into three smaller ports: the central port, Marina Zeas and Mikrolimano. It is also the largest in Europe and the third largest in the world. It is called the port of the three continents because it is situated at the crossroads of Europe, Asia and Africa. With 12 gates, it is the main gateway to the Aegean islands and Crete.
Due to its beneficial geographical position, it is the busiest in Europe with a traffic of 20 million passengers and more than 25,000 ships per year. It has a container terminal, a cargo terminal with a storage area of 180,000 m², a passenger terminal and three car terminals with a capacity of 12,000 vehicles.

The DURGAS system has been installed in its underground car park with STANDGAS PRO LCD RS485 detectors for CO detection, designed and manufactured by Durán Electrónica.
