Fire detection cable and Controller.

The Vitinya Pass is a mountain pass in the Balkans. It connects Sofia and Botevgrad. Just below the summit passes the Vitinia Tunnel located on the Hemus highway, also called A2. With a length of 1,195 meters and three traffic lanes, it is the longest motorway tunnel in Bulgaria.

In order to rebuild the tunnel, a series of measures have been taken such as: Strengthening the structure by injecting 3,500 m3 of special concrete solution, reinforcing the matrix and the lining with more than 7,000 anchors in 70km and more than 33,600 m2 of waterproofing. It is equipped with an adaptive lighting system, CCTV throughout the tunnel, emergency electricity supply, ventilation systems, smart signals, etc. The Vitinia Tunnel is the first in the country with a “Tetra system” that provides real-time information and rapid alert.

For all these new technologies and security, a digital fire detection cable and digital controller have been incorporated, distributed by Duran Electrónica.
