Gas detection and air quality control in tunnels

The La Marina subterranean road is composed of three connected tunnels, Maria Pita, La Marina and O Parrote. The complete road that will go under and across the La Coruña promenade – including the O Parrote and La Marina stretch – will have an approximate length of one kilometer and will eliminate from the surface an average 30,000 vehicles daily.

On the surface more than 50,000 square meters will be set up as recreation areas next to the sea. The recreation areas include, apart from gardens, terraces and a walking path next to the sea, other elements such as several playgrounds for children of more than 500 and 300 meters and minor constructions such as press and refreshments kiosks.

This tunnel complex is protected by CO and NO2 detectors designed and manufactured by DURAN ELECTRONICA, as well as by opacimeters and anemometers distributed by DURAN ELECTRONICA.
