Detection of toxic and explosive gases in service tunnels.

In 2002 the Madrid City Council decided to include, as an important improvement in the control of 100km of underground tunnels, the mixed detection of toxic (CO, O2 and H2S) and explosive gases, and for this products manufactured by DURAN ELECTRONICA were selected.

This decision, initially taken by the City Council, was later incorporated into the Madrid City Council health & safety standards for accessible service tunnels. Later on it was included in the new Low-Tension Electro technical Regulations, at a national level.

The City Council, due to the excellent results of the installed equipment, has decided to keep our EUROSONDELCO system and combine it with our new DURGAS system for all new contracts for complete maintenance of the existing 100km of underground tunnels. To these, another additional 50km have been added, so that systems manufactured by DURAN ELECTRONICA control the gas detection on 150km of City Council underground tunnels.
