In Leza, in the heart of Rioja Alavesa, the Alma Carraovejas winery group launches the AIURRI project “Character and personality”. In a unique place that makes the vineyard fall in love, the project starts from the Viñedo de San Vicente de la Sonsierra and Viñedo de Leza, surrounding it by twenty hectares.
The Aiurri winery was born with the acquisition in 2020 of the Hermanos Laredo Villanueva winery, being completely renovated with architecture and engineering from the Basque Country and transforming the concept of more boutique production and wine catalogue. It has 12,000-liter tanks and well-lined barrels. A crystalline area of the Sierra and a viewpoint in the garden with beautiful native varieties.
In the interest of conserving and valuing the Heritage of Leza, the project acquires and renovates the historic Casana de Lorenzo from the 16th century, just three minutes from the winery, converting this stately palace into a luxury hotel with ten rooms of Exclusive use for Clients who visit the winery.
To protect the winery from this unique project, the DURGAS system and the DIREX CO2 detectors, designed and manufactured by Durán Electrónica, S.L., have been selected.
