Gas detection and air control in road tunnels.
Work has started on the renovation of ventilation and improvement of energy efficiency in the tunnels of Belabieta and San Lorenzo in Guipúzcoa, due to the current fans installed not being able to work in bi-directional mode and their vibrations while working reaching levels above those allowed by regulations.
It is also planned to install new ventilation control elements (ultrasonic anemometers, NO2 detectors and opacimeters) and other various updates of the electrical system.
These two tunnels are part of the section of the A-15 motorway running through Guipúzcoa (in which Oindolar and Gorosmendi tunnels are also included). All of them with two tubes, double lanes and unidirectional traffic. Belabieta and San Lorenzo are the longest, with a length of more than 2.5 Km between both.
Apart from the fans, the new elements being installed are anemometers and opacimeters distributed by DURAN ELECTRONICA, and NO detectors designed and manufactured by DURAN ELECTRONICA.
